Intermediate Planner – Resource Consent and Land Development

Qualifications & experience
-
A relevant tertiary degree with a predominant content of planning, resource management or equivalent.
-
Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly report writing.
-
Sound knowledge of resource management legislation.
-
Sound knowledge of resource management theory and best practice principles.
-
Full NZ Driver’s Licence.
The Opportunities
We are seeking a capable Intermediate planner with 3–5 years’ experience to join our Auckland office.
The Intermediate Planner is responsible for leading land development projects and resource consent applications. The Intermediate planner provides support to the Principal Planner and the team, including:

Lead, contribute and take responsibilities of projects or work allocated to you and provide information and advice to client and other external consultants.

Provide courteous and timely response to client and external consultant queries regarding the planning matters.

Preparing and submitting resource consent applications accurately in accordance with the planning requirement and within the requirement timeframes.

Coordinating and managing resource consent applications and land development projects.
-
Pre-application preparation and attendance at meetings.
-
Attending resource consent hearing, preparation and presentation of expert resource management evidence.

Work across and support and maintain positive working relationship internally.
-
Liaison with clients and other external consultants; develop and maintain effective relationship with the clients and other external consultants.
